The Goal of the Chapter Scholarship Program is to encourage and recruit young Korean generation into the fields of Science and Engineering. This is to cope with the phenomena that many young talented students in these days move away from Science and Engineering.

1. 개요

KSEA 조지아 지부는 2007/2008 학년도부터 장학기금을 조성 , 우수 과학기술 인재 발굴 및 창의와 도전정신을 갖춘 글로벌 핵심인재로 성장하는데 지원할 수 있도록 장기적이고 체계적인 장학사업을 실시하고자 합니다 .

2. 선발 대상 및 인원

• 선발대상 : 2007 년 현재 미국 조지아주 소재 대학의 이공계 대학원생으로, 성적이 우수하고, 품성이 모범적이며, 장래성이 큰 학생
• 선발 인원 : 1 ~ 2 명

3. 장학생 지원 내용

학업보조금 : 1 인당 1,000 불

4. 선발 일정

• 장학 공고 : 2007 년 11 월 1 일
• 선발 절차 : 1) 서류접수; 2) 서류심사; 3) 장학생 선발
• 신청서류 접수 마감 : 2008 년 1 월 15 일
• 장학생 선발 확정 : 2008 년 3 월 3 일
• 장학금 수여 : 2008 년 5 월 초순

• Curriculum Vitae
• Certificate of Studentship (graduate school), Diploma (undergraduate and/or graduate school), and Transcripts (undergraduate and graduate school)
• Research Accomplishments (publications, patents, and/or presentations), if any
• Two Recommendation Letters (One must be from the research supervisor applicant)
• Essay in English (~ 500 words)

Topics may be chosen by the applicant, but should be related to the applicant’s unique experience or goals as it relates to his/her chosen field of study.

8. 평가방식

• 신청서류의 완비 여부 , 신청서류 내용의 진위 및 적정성 여부 심사
• 학업성적 , 장래성 등을 종합적으로 심사
• 학업성적및 연구업적 (30%), 추천서 (30%), 에세이 (30%), 과외활동 및 봉사활동 (10%)
